Mother Earth. ME.

This, for me, sums up Earthbody and my relationship with the planet we call home.

Everything that is me is Mother Earth. And everything that is Mother Earth is me. It’s our relation-ship. It’s our dance and connection together.

Those two initials: M and E, initially started out for me as my own version of short hand, my abbreviation for writing Mother Earth when I was journaling. But now the simplicity of those two letters holds so much more for me. They symbolise many deeper layers of connection. They no longer represent Mother Earth but are representative of all areas of my life too.

At unexpected moments, my abbr ME suddenly lept to the forefront of my selfdiscovery by making itself present in other actions.

Here’s an example:

Last year, I participated for a short while, in what is known as feminine gifting. It’s a bringing together of women that wish to grow themselves through embodying the elements Earth, Fire, Water and Air as conscious embodiments that facilitate our connectivity to the life we are living but also as to how these elements serve us differently and at different times.

Whilst working with the element of Fire, I started looking at all areas of my life. I jotted down these life aspects, and staying curious as to how these areas of my life could use the fanning of some flames to power up my life, I realised that all of these titles/labels had the word ME in it.

The areas idientified in my life were:

Me – The central figure in the story called my life

WoMEn – A key focus for my talents as I aspire to ignite creativity, healing and intuition in women, most especially in service to the babies and children of our planet.

Mother Earth (ME) – My current job at Earthbody; my love for the 4 elements; my eco-aware passions; Nature

IncoME – A need that requires more avenues but also more creativity.

HoME – A central topic for me as I’m a mother looking after my children and home is a sanctuary best nurtured for safety and love for myself and all my family members.

FaM-E-ly – Poetic licence on the spelling of family. But again. Very much a huge part of my life. My children and my privilege of being a mother.

Into-ME-I-see – My relationship with my partner, through intimacy on all levels,  as a divine refelction that celebrates our individuality whilst building each other up in unity.

See! ME is in everything that is me!

At another point in my self discovery over the last 18 months or so I also found myself making the connection between ME and me. I wrote that:

Mother Earth is the

Mother Expressed

And therefore, My Earth is

Myself Expressed because I too am a mother and I show up in my world in motherly ways. Here again was another example of how two simple letters used, symbolised and represent so much depth and connectivity that I often find myself in awe.

They say the ego complicates and the soul simplifies.

I LOVE the simplicity of my connection to ME in all of her expressions!
